The Jesuit Student Success Network was officially recognized as an AJCU Network in January 2023. As institutions increase their focus on student success and retention by establishing and growing offices and staff in this area, this Network was formed to gather AJCU colleagues who work in student success and retention with the purpose of sharing strategies and best practices from their institutions. The Network includes professionals who play a role in supporting the success, retention, and persistence of students including the monitoring of retention and graduation rate metrics.
The Network Executive Board provides leadership for professional development and engagement opportunities for the Jesuit Student Success Network. The Network meets virtually in many capacities. The Senior Student Success Officers (SSSOs) meet every other month to discuss student success and retention topics and best practices. The Executive Leadership Team meets monthly as the leadership group to plan engaging opportunities for the membership, including monthly network-wide Zoom meet-ups on various topics. Members stay in contact throughout the year through an active AJCU listserv. You may join the listserv by writing to AJCU’s Vice President of Communications, Deanna Howes Spiro: dhowes@ajcunet.edu.
