Purpose and Goals
Distinct from gatherings that are often disciplinary-based, the AJCU Faith, Justice and Reconciliation Assembly is intentionally designed to bring faculty from many disciplines and practices together with administrators and staff, as all share in the responsibility of the development of faith, justice and reconciliation locally and, through this event, nationally and globally; click here to learn more.
Commissions
The 2027 AJCU Faith, Justice and Reconciliation Assembly will focus on the work of five academic Commissions:
- AI: Responsibility, Cooperation and Education
- Fostering a “Culture of Encounter” in Jesuit Education: Dialoguing Across Diverse Viewpoints and Faith Traditions
- Ecological Citizenship: Responses to Caring for Our Common Home
- Ignatian Formation: Sustaining Jesuit, Catholic Identity in an Era of Lay Leadership and Continual Transition
- Campus Mental & Spiritual Well-Being: Resources, Pedagogical Approaches and Frameworks
