Pastoral, Theological and Ministerial Education

Mission Statement

The AJCU Network for Pastoral, Theological and Ministerial Education (founded in 2010) is comprised of faculty, staff and administrators in programs at Jesuit institutions that offer degrees in ministry, pastoral counseling, spiritual direction and related fields of pastoral and/or practical theology. In the Ignatian tradition, members gather to discern best practices and exchange research; develop shared pedagogical strategies; collaborate on initiatives; and discuss the unique priorities of the Jesuit heritage in forming professionals to serve the church, academy, and world. Members remain committed to advocating for those in positions of marginalization or exclusion. The Network hosts an in-person meeting annually in association with the national meeting of the Association of Graduate Programs in Ministry (AGPIM).
