Workshop Introduction:
The Catholic Intellectual Tradition and Catholic Social Teaching are foundational components for the Catholic Church, Catholics and Catholic institutions including Jesuit higher education. Yet these components are often not well known or understood by many in these communities, including our own Jesuit campuses. These modules explore both areas to give a taste of some of the richness and wisdom of this tradition. While the Catholic Intellectual Tradition can be understood as the broad umbrella related to this tradition, we begin by exploring one area called Catholic Social Teaching. The second module will then help participants to explore some key aspects of the Catholic Intellectual Tradition.
