Kate Braasch is Chief of Presidential Affairs at Marquette University. She has nearly 20 years of non-profit and fundraising experience; 18 in higher education. In her current position, Kate operates from a day-to-day strategic presidential lens—which includes focus on the president’s donor, corporate and community relations role, as well as overseeing presidential communications. In addition, she supports President Mike Lovell and Amy Lovell as co-founders of Scaling Wellness in Milwaukee (SWIM), which drives community-based collaboration that responds, heals and prevents trauma and promotes a resilient Milwaukee.
Kate has served on several steering committees at Marquette, including the President’s Commission on Racial Equity, President’s Task Force for Corporate Engagement, 100-year Anniversary of Marquette Men’s Basketball, University Master Plan, and the 2014 Marquette Presidential Inauguration. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Community Health Education from UW-La Crosse and a Master’s in Leadership Studies from Marquette University. Kate is a graduate of the Future Milwaukee program, is on the Board of Directors for VISIT Milwaukee, the Advancement Committee of Cristo Rey Jesuit High School, is a member of TEMPO Milwaukee, and serves as a mentor to TEMPO Emerging Women Leaders. In 2021, she received the Women of Influence award from the Milwaukee Business Journal.
