Laurie Eichelberger Leiva has been at Loyola since 2011. As the Assistant Vice President of Alumni Engagement, Laurie is responsible for the organization, initiation, and supervision of all aspects of the university’s alumni engagement efforts including alumni programs and events, annual giving, stewardship, and advancement communications.

Prior to working at Loyola University New Orleans Laurie worked in Alumni Affairs at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington and at the Carolina Alumni Association at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, South Carolina. She has more than a dozen years of volunteer recruitment and management experience.

Laurie graduated with a B.A. from Loyola University New Orleans (2003) and a M.Ed. from the University of South Carolina in Higher Education Administration and Student Affairs. Laurie is a doctoral candidate in Educational Leadership at the University of Louisiana – Lafayette. Laurie resides in New Orleans with her husband, Michael Leiva a 2002 graduate of Loyola University, and their two children.
