Dr. Sonja Martin Poole is a Professor of Marketing in the School of Management at the University of San Francisco. Her research centers on the role of racialized identities in the marketplace. Among the undergraduate- and graduate-level courses in her teaching portfolio are Multicultural Marketing; Marketing for Social Good; Marketing Principles; Ethics, Public Policy & Marketing Intelligence; and Race in the Marketplace. Dr. Poole holds B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. degrees from the University of California, Berkeley where she studied Economics, African American Studies, and Education Policy and Organization. She has an M.A. degree in Economics from California State University-East Bay and a post-doctoral degree in Marketing from Tulane University.
