Maria Marinucci serves as the Director of the Cross Cultural Centers, a role she initially held on an Interim basis for the 2017-2018 academic year, and one she has held permanently since May 2018. In this position, Maria oversees the Jane Kopas Women’s Center and the Multicultural Center, seeking to promote an inclusive and welcoming campus community and creating opportunities for awareness, education, and dialogue on issues related to diversity, identity, privilege, oppression, equity, and justice. She strives to engage in work informed and driven by Jesuit values, and is committed to self-reflection, discernment, and personal growth.
Maria first joined the University of Scranton in 2014 as the Assistant Director for Residence Education, overseeing Residential Learning Communities. Maria holds a Bachelor’s in Psychology and Educational Studies from Colgate University, a Master’s in Student Affairs and Higher Education from Colorado State University, and a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Scranton.
