I have been a full time faculty member in the Loretto Heights School of Nursing since 2010 and Dean of the School of Nursing since 2019. Prior to coming to Regis I was a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner for 30 years, working in a high risk neonatal intensive care nursery. I have always loved caring for preterm babies and their families. When Regis started the neonatal nurse practitioner program in 2003, I began teaching as an affiliate faculty and realized that I loved teaching as much as patient care. I have been involved in the National Association of Neonatal Nurses promoting care for babies and their families, and I continue to work on certification for neonatal nurse practitioners and other perinatal care givers through the National Certification Corporation.
I have been married for 37 years and have two children. My son is a mental health nurse and my daughter teaches ballet. I have a 5 year old grandson who is a great delight! I also enjoy serving on the altar guild at Christ Episcopal Church in Denver and was a Children’s leader for a number of years in Bible Study Fellowship International.
