Dr. WeiDong Zhu is currently the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Saint Peter’s University, and a full professor of physics in the Department of Applied Science and Technology. Prior to becoming the Dean, Dr. Zhu was the chair of the department for 4 years and the director of the Center for Microplasma Science and Technology for 7 years. Dr. Zhu has co-authored over 50 peer-reviewed papers, two book chapters, one encyclopedia entry, and presented numerous invited talks, talks and posters in national and international conferences. Dr. Zhu currently holds two U.S. patents and five Chinese patents. His research interests are atmospheric pressure non-thermal plasmas and their applications in medicine, biomedicine, dentistry and environment, plasma sources and their diagnostics, self-organization of microplasmas.
