Jeremy has 15 years of experience in career services. He holds an MS in Counseling and a BA in Psychology. Prior to higher ed, he worked in mental health and substance abuse settings. He realized that higher education would be a good fit after completing practicum hours in the university counseling center where he was studying. There he quickly built rapport with students by focusing on career-related concerns. Jeremy enjoys helping students and alumni develop strategic plans that enable them to fulfill personal and professional goals. In addition to serving as the Director of Career Development, he is the vice-president for Mobile Society for Human Resources Management and has twice advocated on Capitol Hill for 21st Century labor standards and for Employer Participation in Student Loan Repayment (H.R. 795).
