Dr. Tristen K. Amador is Associate Dean of Regis University’s Rueckert-Hartman College for Health Professions. Dr. Amador received her Doctorate in Social Work from the University of Houston, her Masters in Social Work with a concentration in Gerontology from the University of Oklahoma, and her Bachelors in Sociology from Pepperdine University. She is a licensed social worker in the state of Colorado and formerly a licensed master social worker in the state of Texas. Dr. Amador has worked in health care as a clinical social worker and administrator in settings such as hospice and long-term care.

Dr. Amador teaches Leadership and Management in Health Care, Masters Project Thesis, Health Coaching, and Health Care Administration Capstone for undergraduate and graduate students at Regis. She is passionate about working with and on behalf of individuals, their families, and health care professionals for improved health care services. Another passion of Dr. Amador’s is advocating for women and children. She serves on the Board of Directors for an organization called Women with a Cause which is an organization empowering women to obtain an education in various health professions.

Dr. Amador is a California native but has lived in Colorado for 12 years. She loves to spend time exploring the great state of Colorado and beyond with her husband and daughter.
