Joseph M. Phillips was appointed dean of the Albers School of Business and Economics July 1, 2001. He joined Seattle University after serving on the faculty of the College of Business Administration at Creighton University. He started at Creighton in 1982, serving as associate dean for the last four and half years. Phillips graduated with a BA in economics from LaSalle University and received his MA and PhD from the University of Notre Dame. He is past president of the Western Association of Collegiate Schools of Business, past chair of the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities Business Deans, and currently serves as President of the board of the International Association of Jesuit Business Schools.
