Through this Network, faculty engage in strategic collaboration to better support the academic success of racial/ethnic minority faculty and to harness the power of networking across Jesuit nursing schools in order to enhance diversity in academia.
Mission
The Network strives to connect, mentor, recruit and retain through mutual support in members’ personal and professional journeys as nurses in academia.
Members endorse the creation of policies, procedures, and systems that support ethnic/racial faculty and student success.
Vision
The Network envisions a just and humane world in which nursing faculty work in solidarity to drive cultural changes; inspire inclusive perspectives; and support behaviors of faculty and students to sustain vibrant academic environments throughout Jesuit schools of nursing.
Values
Solidarity, Integrity, Cura Personalis, Belonging, Respect
This Network explores strategies to support faculty in terms of scholarship, leadership, teaching, policy development and service decision-making. This Network creates a safe forum to share; find collaborators with similar interests; and foster recommendations for college, university and national policy changes, including dissemination of information throughout the Jesuit Network of nursing programs.
