Nursing
Job Purpose:
The University of Scranton has exciting opportunities to join our team of accomplished, passionate educators and clinicians in the Department of Nursing. These are 9-month, assistant/associate professor positions beginning August 2024. There are opportunities to teach in the undergraduate, graduate, and DNP programs. All positions require scholarship and service. The Department of Nursing prepares nurses who are committed to excellence in practice. The Department’s graduates are recognized for being ready to deliver high-quality, evidence-based, holistic, person-centered car at all levels and across many settings.
The department is looking for candidates with expertise in mental health and population health, preferably a nurse practitioner in mental health nursing.
Essential Duties:
– Teaching- Scholarship- Service- Other responsibilities as outlined in the faculty contract and handbook
Additional Skills Required:
Applicants must have recent clinical experience, and a current Pennsylvania nursing license or a current multistate license as part of the Nurse Licensure Compact.Candidates should demonstrate evidence of or potential for excellence in classroom and clinical teaching, engagement in professional service and evidence of the ability to produce scholarly work.
Minimum Education Requirements:
– An earned Doctoral Degree in nursing, or current enrollment in a doctoral program in nursing
