Job Summary:
Work under the direct supervision of a Master’s or Doctoral degree in nursing in assisting students in skills/simulation laboratory settings to meet specific student learning outcomes.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Be physically present and immediately accessible to students in the skills/simulation laboratory setting.

Teach assigned lab and clinical content consistent with the university, college/school, and department policies and provide instruction in the assigned lab consistent with the content and learning objectives of the regular course syllabus as it relates to the lab.

Communicate student performance to the course faculty.

Need to be sensitive to the educational needs of a diverse student population

Conduct student assessments as prescribed by the curriculum

Adhere to policies and procedures regarding students and faculty as established by the University and Department.

 

Education:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from a Nursing Education Program with national nursing accreditation.

Experience:

Documented one-year experience in the area of instruction. Prefer applicants who have experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and a demonstrated commitment to improving access to higher education for underrepresented groups.

This position is benefits-eligible for workers’ compensation and will receive 1 hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked, up to a maximum of 48 hours per year.

 

Pay Rate:
$45 / hour
