Job Summary:
Under the guidance of Regis University staff, the Technical Support Services (TSS) Audio-Visual (A/V) Technician will provide on-site technical support for academic and administrative operations on all Regis University campuses. This includes proactively maintaining, operating, troubleshooting, and repairing of A/V equipment, computers, and peripheral devices. The TSS A/V Technician will use broad technical expertise to identify, research, resolve, and mitigate technical problems while, providing excellent service and support for a wide range of technologies used in classroom A/V systems. This position is an on-premise job that, depending on business needs, will require working occasional evening and weekend shifts. TSS A/V Technician must travel locally to Regis University campuses as needed.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential:
Promptly address and resolve or mitigate all classroom and conference room A/V technology issues and requests in a time sensitive manner.

Demonstrate an exceptional level of customer service to faculty, staff, and vendors alike while also completing assigned tickets and tasks.

Administer and maintain A/V and computing equipment including its service, installation, configuration, diagnosis, repair, and replacement.

Provide technical services and support for all Regis events as needed.

Availability to work occasional evenings and weekend shifts, dependent on business needs. In relation, shift flexibility is available upon management approval.

Keep accurate inventory of A/V and computing equipment.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education:
High school graduation and 1-3 years of related audio-visual or desktop experience.

 

Experience:
1-3 years’ experience in providing A/V or desktop technology set up or support or closely related experience is required. 2-4 years’ experience in customer service is required. Essential expertise includes certifications or real-world experience in A/V equipment configuration, hardware installation, computer troubleshooting, and repair. An understanding of an academic environment, particularly in higher education, is desirable.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is done in an office setting. Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
