Job Summary:

The Anderson College of Business and Computing at Regis University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position starting August 1, 2024. Anderson College seeks faculty members who can design, develop, and teach courses for its Master of Science in Software Engineering program. Additionally, faculty members must contribute to the scholarly community through research efforts. A record of sustained scholarship in the discipline is required for tenure.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

 

• Design, develop, and teach courses in our software engineering program. Instruction will be predominantly classes on campus but may include online courses.

 

• Maintain currency in the software engineering field through scholarship such as peer-reviewed publications, presenting at conferences, and other scholarly activities.

 

• Actively serve the college and university by participating in various standing committees, task forces, etc., facilitating our operations.

 

• Support student learning by participating in facilitating workshops, student clubs, graduation, and other student-facing activities.

 

• Conduct service to the community, profession, or discipline by participating with industry groups, editorial boards, etc.

 

Our ideal candidate holds a strong teaching record, and preferably an industry background which includes programming and leading technical teams or a history of working with industry in an academic setting.

 

Education Requirement

 

A doctoral degree or ABD status in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely aligned field of study is required.

Pay Rate:

$75,000 – $85,000/annually commensurate with qualifications.
