Loyola University New Orleans, a Jesuit and Catholic institution of higher education, seeks an experienced and innovative leader to join this renowned institution as the Director of Financial Aid.

Reporting to the newly installed Vice President for Enrollment Management, Anthony Jones, the director will lead a team of eight professionals charged with administering a financial aid program consisting of federal, state, and institutional funds that exceed $95 million dollars annually. The director oversees financial aid for all undergraduate, graduate, law, and continuing education students enrolled at the university.

As the senior financial aid officer and a key member of the Enrollment Management Leadership team, the new director will focus the financial aid office’s efforts on optimizing net tuition revenue, improving student persistence, meeting appropriate levels of student need, and staying within the institution’s budget. This new leader will be responsible for ensuring that current technology is fully utilized to support optimal levels of service and compliance in an ever-changing environment and to help university leadership with promoting a culture of using data and technology to maximize human and financial resources.

The successful candidate for this role will have at least ten years of extensive, diverse and progressively responsible administrative experience in student financial aid as well as comprehensive knowledge of all regulations governing federal financial aid programs and strong familiarity with student information systems. It is expected that the Director of Financial Aid will have willingness to acquire an understanding of the Jesuit commitments to excellence in education; inclusion, equity and justice; service; and the liberal arts and sciences traditions. Experience with Ellucian Colleague is preferred, but not required.
