Job Summary:
Commit to precept 1 student/semester for a minimum of 2 semesters per year (There are 3 semesters per year: Summer, Fall and Spring)
Commit to a minimum of 150 hours with the student per semester (student must complete 210 clinical hours each semester)
Agree to the 3-pronged role of provider, preceptor and clinical faculty
Communicate directly with Course Faculty regarding student progress and any concerns
Complete final evaluation

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Clinical Practice Educator (‘CPE’) precepts and supervises the Clinical Experience of students in Regis University’s (‘Regis’) nurse practitioner programs. Supervised Clinical Experiences are an integral part of Regis’s preparation of advanced practice nursing students at the graduate level.
Minimum Qualifications:
The CPE role is available for a Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Advance Nurse Practitioner, Physician or Physician Assistant. The provider is licensed and authorized to practice under federal law and state laws where the Clinical Experience takes place and is approved to practice at the facility where the Clinical Experience takes place.
Preferred Qualifications:
Family Medicine or Internal Medicine primary care NP, PA or physician.
Work Schedule:
CPE is available for two of the three semesters during a year period.
Benefits-eligible for workers’ compensation and will receive 1 hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked, up to a maximum of 48 hours per year.
Pay Rate:
$500 per student per semester
