POSITION SUMMARY                                                                                         

The Coordinator for Wellness Grants and Projects will be responsible for overseeing and directing all aspects of the Booth Ferris Grant, the Excellus Health Equity Innovation Award, and the D.E. French Foundation Financial Literacy Award. They will prepare comprehensive action plans and quarterly reports including resources, timeframes, and budgets for the various projects in the grants. They will perform various coordinating tasks, such as scheduling meetings, following up on tasks, coordinating with stakeholders, along with administrative duties, like maintaining project documentation and handling financial queries. This person will oversee all aspects of the grant assignments. Lastly, the Coordinator for Wellness Grants and Projects will also support the Associate Provost for Student Development in strategic planning, grant identification, and other special projects.


*This position is a grant funded position and will end in June 2025.



Job duties specific to this position:

Ability to work under the requirements of the various grants.
Prepare and oversee an adequate number of qualified instructors for AVS 102.
A teaching requirement to include instructional delivery up to three sections of AVS 102 for each the Fall and Spring semesters.
Host an end of semester retreat with all instructors, and update the curriculum as recommended.
Oversee and coordinate the Wellness Ambassador Fellowship curriculum, including liaison with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. (AFSP)
Oversee the continuous education and activities of a pod of approximately 25-30 Wellness Ambassadors each semester.
Recruit new Ambassadors at the end of the Fall semester.
Assist and help implement various wellness programming and activities that the Wellness Ambassadors plan.
Coordinate and host regular planning and update meetings with the Wellness Ambassadors, minimally 2 meetings per month.
Develop partnerships with high schools in the 4-county area, and plan for the Wellness Ambassadors to present the AFSP “It’s Real” program to at least one school per county.
Coordinate and direct the activities for the 4th annual Out of the Darkness event in April 2025.
Submit program proposals to Active Minds and to JASPA (or other national conferences) to present grant activities and outcomes, possibly with other instructors.
Travel to above national meetings with student Wellness Ambassadors to present grant outcomes.
Play a key leadership role for the college enrollment in the JED Campus program.
Identify new external funding sources and grants in support of wellness projects.
Prepare comprehensive action plans, including resources, timeframes, and budgets for the various wellness projects funded by grants and awards.
Submit all required documentation to grant funding source and college leadership.
Ensure that all relevant assessment measures are in place for all interventions and collect multiple artifacts (Middle states.)
Ability to work well in a team environment, handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
Demonstrate a high level of organization with the ability to implement systems and follow up processes.
Demonstrate the ability to use independent judgment and produce quality work.
Strong writing and PC skills (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.)
Other administrative responsibilities and activities as assigned.

Minimum of Master’s degree in Health Promotion, Social Work, Public Health, Mental Health, or other related field.
Practice experience in resiliency focused work, (i.e., mindfulness, CBT, stress management, positive psychology, etc.) Preferably clinical mental health experience.
Demonstrated experience in grant management.
Supervisory experience.
Experience working with a peer mentoring program.
Ability to engage a variety of campus stakeholders toward positive culture change.
Experience teaching at the college level preferred.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
