Job Description:
Reporting to the Director, Annual & Leadership Giving, the Senior Associate Director, Annual Digital Giving is responsible for the management of four Digital Gift Officers charged with securing meetings with undergraduate alumni and current parents, and soliciting commitments ranging from $1,000 – $100,000. The Senior Associate Director will provide strategic direction and mentorship to ensure these fundraisers are meeting metrics and growing current-use annual cash for various University priorities. This position will also carry a Digital Gift portfolio of roughly 750 prospects and be tasked with closing gifts ranging from $1,000 – $250,000. In addition, the Senior Associate Director will play a crucial role in the management of University Advancement’s relationship with EverTrue, our Digital Gift Officer vendor.
Collaboration with members of Major Giving, Parent Giving, Athletics, Schools and Programs, Marketing and Participation, and the Alumni Association is important, as well as partnering with colleagues who run point on reunion committees. The Senior Associate Director trains members of their team, in addition to meeting with undergraduate alumni and parents. The Senior Associate Director will demonstrate superior customer service skills and utilize UA colleagues to vet donor raised questions or concerns.
Full-Time Equivalent Hiring Range: $80,850 to $101,050; salary commensurate with relevant experience.
Requirements
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree and a valid U.S. driver’s license to fulfill the essential functions of the job. This position requires a minimum of five years of professional fundraising experience and at least one year of experience using EverTrue’s Digital Giving Platform in an institution of higher education, or in comparable settings that have afforded substantive responsibility with broad annual giving programs working directly with donors and volunteer and staff management. Also, must have proven leadership, management and organizational skills and a proven track record of soliciting and closing commitments of $100,000 or more.
A demonstrated ability to speak and write persuasively about higher education and the Jesuit tradition is expected. Proficiency with technology and relevant software applications, such as e-mail, MS Word, MS Excel, and PowerPoint is also expected. Some weekend and evening work is required to successfully perform the duties of this position.
