Reporting to the Fiscal Manager, the Fiscal Assistant will be responsible for the daily accounting, reconciliation, reporting and financial processing to support Boston College’s Auxiliary Services multi-department operations. Specifically, the Fiscal Assistant will create and maintain various electronic financial spreadsheets and databases used in the monthly and annual accounting cycle; will assist with executing essential procedures and processes for daily cash accounting, debit card accounting, inventory entries, accounts payable and communication with various vendors and customers. In addition, will provide financial support to the Department of Event Management for the billing and financial reconciliation of events held on campus via event management software (EBMS). Also, will interact and liaise with other departments on campus and external customers to settle billing issues as well as the Controller’s Office on questions regarding proper journal postings and accounting transactions.
