The Manager, Ticket Operations is a full-time, 9 month position, responsible for operations in the RTAC Box Office which include the scheduling, creation, and sale of tickets for all ticketed University events (except Athletic events). The RTAC Box Office events occur at many locations across campus, including the Robsham Theater Main Stage, the Bonn Studio Theater, 300 Hammond Pond Parkway and on-campus outdoor venues. This position supports events scheduled by OSI/CAB and other student organizations, Theatre Department productions, Senior Week activities, as well as other groups or campus partners as needed.
The position is responsible for maintaining the ticketing system and database for RTAC as well as its web-based and mobile interfaces. This position is responsible for annual sales of approximately 50,000 tickets and $750,000 in annual revenues and oversees the collection of this revenue via credit card transactions and sales operations including window, phone, and online/mobile transactions.
This position’s primary responsibilities include:
Covering Box Office window sales and phone sales.
Scheduling dates and times for ticket sales for all events.
Programing season’s events.
Overseeing customer service; the customer base is primarily the Boston College community (i.e. students, faculty and staff) but also includes the general public.
Maintaining the Box Office’s ticket system and its database, as well as oversee care of the Box Office’s computers, credit card readers and printers to ensure an efficient and PCI compliant operations.
Supporting the mission of Student Affairs and the University.
Assisting with marketing and promotion of student and academic events, via RTAC’s social media, digital signage and online ticketing webpage.
Recruiting, training, and supervising 10-15 undergraduate student staff.
Other tasks as assigned by the Robsham Theater Arts Center Director.
Each staff member in the Division of Student Affairs is expected to support division and university-wide initiatives, staff events, and serve on committees as needed.
Full-Time, 9-month hiring range: $41,888 to $52,350; salary commensurate with relevant experience.
