Job Description

Under the supervision of the Assistant Dean, Graduate Recruitment and Enrollment, the Assistant Director for Graduate Recruitment and Admissions is responsible for systems, processes and flow of applications for the entire suite of graduate programs.  This role is critical in ensuring the prospects are managed through the enrollment funnel with a focus on meeting the strategic enrollment goals.

Oversees event coordination, planning and execution of events. Plans and attends off campus events including coffee chats, and networking events.

Participates in recruitment travel including attending MBA Fairs, coffee chats on the road, graduate school fairs, etc. as a representative of BC and to build relationships with prospective candidates.  Conduct interviews with admitted and/or high potential students. 

Oversees application coordination and management, analyze application data, maintain student records, contact admitted and enrolled students. Collaborate with other areas of the graduate program administration to strategically focus on processing efforts during deadline periods.

Manage admissions systems including record keeping, analysis, and compliance with requirements of university CRM

Manage graduate assistants in the office by developing and managing schedule as well as daily projects (typically 4-6 students in the office per day.)

This role acts in a ‘sales’ capacity for the programs, must be well versed in programs and offerings. Must also coordinate discussions between leads/candidates and enrolled students with key stakeholders in the graduate programs

Title and salary commensurate with relevant experience based on the following titles and hiring ranges:

Band 3 FY24 MRP: $77,050; 5+ years prof. experience
Band 2 FY24 MRP: $69,800; 1-5 years prof. experience

 

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred
Ability to think strategically and work effectively in a team-based environment.
Experience in higher education administration or demanding customer service roles.
Experience working with diverse student populations.
High degree of integrity, professionalism and customer service orientation.
Outstanding oral, interpersonal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgement in decision making and problem solving.
Ability to communicate excitement about the graduate programs and the university.
Advanced knowledge of Excel PowerPoint and other MS Office Platforms.  Knowledge of enrollment systems including the ability to extract data and reporting.
In depth knowledge of graduate business programs.
Must be able and willing to travel.
