Job Summary:
The Regis University School of Pharmacy invites applications at the assistant professor rank for a full-time, 12-month appointment in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Our innovative Doctor of Pharmacy degree program employs multidisciplinary teams of faculty to deliver integrated course material using team-based learning (TBL) methods.
Students choose between a traditional 4-year and accelerated 3-year doctoral degree pathway. We ask faculty to serve as facilitators of student-directed learning in an atmosphere that emphasizes accountability and teamwork skills and deemphasizes traditional lecture-based content delivery. As such, the successful candidate will demonstrate excellence in utilizing a variety of teaching methods and an interest in working collaboratively with diverse groups of students and faculty colleagues.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Regis University is a nationally recognized Jesuit Catholic university located at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains in northwest Denver, CO, whose purpose is to prepare leaders in service of others. The University was recently designated as a Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI). The School of Pharmacy is housed within the Rueckert-Hartman College for Health Professions, which supports renowned programs in Physical Therapy, Nursing, Counseling and Family Therapy, and Health Service Education as part of an interprofessional educational community. The School of Pharmacy was founded in 2009 and is fully accredited by the ACPE. Responsibilities include the development and delivery of biomedical and pharmaceutical science content in pharmacotherapy courses and elective courses within the integrated curriculum. Individual or collaborative research involving pharmacy, master’s level and/or undergraduate students is an expectation of the faculty role. Service on various school, college, and/or university committees will also be required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Successful candidates will possess superb written and verbal communication skills and a commitment to student-centered learning.
- Candidates must have earned a doctoral degree and completed postdoctoral training in the pharmaceutical, biological, chemical, or related sciences.
- Strong preference will be given to candidates with experience teaching a variety of biomedical science topics in a team setting.
