Job Summary:
The Division of Education is seeking an Affiliate Faculty member to teach ED 435 – Asset Based Classroom Management for the fall 2023 semester.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be able to teach secondary classroom management content as it relates to instruction, planning, and meeting student needs. They will have experience implementing classroom management strategies that utilize an asset-based approach. The class is part of the licensure sequence for the State of Colorado Teaching Endorsement and is a foundational course for our secondary cohort of students in all content areas. The faculty member will be responsible for preparation, teaching and one hour per week dedicated for office hours. There is a possibility of teaching opportunities during the spring.

Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in Education with teaching experience

Preferred Qualifications: A doctoral degree in Education with teaching experience

Work Schedule:

Class will be held on Friday from 12:30 to 3:15pm. The Fall semester will begin on August 21 and end December 1, 2023, finals will be December 4 through 8 and final grades will be due on the December 14th.

Benefits-eligible for workers’ compensation and will receive 1 hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked, up to a maximum of 48 hours per year.

Pay Rate:
$3,225 per course
