Teaching to Mission

Short Program Description:

Teaching to Mission is a semester-long seminar at Georgetown University for faculty from different departments and one student-facing staff member. The program centers on discussion around Ignatian spirituality for personal development and mentoring in the classroom. The program runs in collaboration with the Director of Ignatian Programs and the Engelhard Project (for student well-being in academic contexts) within the Center for New Designs in Learning and Scholarship (CNDLS).

Program Goals/Intended Outcomes:

1. Basic knowledge of themes in Ignatian spirituality and their applicability in personal and professional life.

2. Introduction to a cohort of mission-minded colleagues.

3. Introduction to the Jesuit community through sessions being hosted at the Jesuit residence.
