Short Program Description:

The Ignatian Summer Institute is a week-long seminar offered each May for faculty completing their first year at Regis University. With a focus on Ignatian pedagogy, it also explores themes like vocation and the Catholic Intellectual Tradition. Participants are invited to develop and submit micro-grant proposals for integrating themes into their classes.

1. Greater understanding of Ignatian pedagogy and its elements.
2. Appreciation for how the Catholic Intellectual Tradition informs Regis’ mission.
3. Concrete learning application through developing a course element or assignment.

The microgrant component was a later addition to the Institute that has proven helpful to participants.

Assessment Data:

The Mission Office has received positive feedback in follow-up surveys. The proposals are used for deeper assessment, with many goals affirmed.
