Short Program Description:

In Fall 2024, the Center for Jesuit Education at Seattle University created the new Magis Mission Series. Designed for new staff to go beyond their Jesuit Mission Orientation, it is also open to mid-career and seasoned faculty and staff who would like to become reacquainted with the mission. The series provides an opportunity for participants to go deeper in understanding the roots of Seattle University’s mission, vision and values in order to integrate Ignatian ways of proceeding more fully into their work.

2024-2025 session topics included:
– Dialogue through Differences
– Ignatian Pedagogy outside the Classroom
– Individual and Communal Discernment
– The Jesuit Commitment to Justice
– Empowering Students as Ignatian Leaders

2025-26 topics added the following:
– Jesuit Education in an Age of AI
– The Meaning of Magis

How long does it take to complete the program?: 1-3 hours

Further Details on Completing Program: 1-1.5 hours each session
