Short Program Description:
Over the course of three sessions, all new staff at Seattle University are oriented to the University’s Jesuit, Catholic mission. Topics covered include: the life of St. Ignatius of Loyola, the Examen, cura personalis, academic excellence, the commitment to a faith that does justice, interfaith dialogue, diversity, and Ignatian leadership.
Program Goals/Intended Outcomes:
1. Provide new employees with a working knowledge of Seattle University’s Jesuit, Catholic mission.
2. Build community and connection.
3. Help employees “catch the fire” of an Ignatian education so that they may become motivated to learn more and embody it in their University work.
