The Ignatian Seminar is a series of small-group gatherings that allow faculty and staff at Spring Hill College to step back from their day-to-day duties and preoccupations to explore, in a peaceful and supportive atmosphere, the sources of the College’s mission. The starting point is their own spiritual journeys: “Where have I been? Where am I going at this moment in my life?”
Through reading, reflection and discussion, participants explore some of the themes of the spirituality of St. Ignatius of Loyola and Jesuit education—hoping that a deeper understanding will enrich their own spirituality and their work at Spring Hill.
1. Deepen familiarity with Jesuit history, spirituality, and charism.
2. Growth the depth of one’s own spirituality.
3. Bonding and friendship between faculty and staff colleagues.
