Short Program Description:
“Ignatian Evenings” are monthly formation programs for faculty at St. John’s College in Belize. Faculty are invited for conversations about a particular theme (e.g., Ignatian pedagogy, Jesuit history, Universal Apostolic Preferences, etc.). After an hour of conversation, participants pray together (during Mass or an Examen) and then join the Jesuit community for dinner.
Program Goals/Intended Outcomes:
1. Deepen faculty knowledge of and engagement with the Jesuit, Catholic heritage of St. John’s.
2. Create deeper community among faculty from the three divisions of St. John’s (university, junior college, high school).
3. Allow Jesuit community members to get to know teachers and vice-versa.
