Board Formation Meeting

Short Program Description:

Loyola University New Orleans hosts a new Full Board Formation Meeting with support from the Trustee Committee for Mission and Identity, which is comprised of a subset of the full Board of Trustees. The committee finalizes pre-reads and discussion questions that will engage the full board in ongoing Jesuit mission formation and education.

Program Goals/Intended Outcomes:

1. Open each quarterly meeting with a focus on Jesuit values and mission.
2. Relate Jesuit values to current topics.
3. Provide ongoing education on Jesuit values.

Key University/Other Partners: The Board Formation Meeting is organized and supported by the President, Chief of Staff, Vice President of Mission and Identity, and the Trustee Chair of the Mission & Identity Committee.

Assessment Data:

An annual survey is distributed to trustees to assess meeting efficacy. Feedback from Loyola’s Mission Priority Examen report shows Board of Trustee (BOT) members appreciate both the BOT mission meeting format and content.
