Short Program Description:
The All Things Ignatian Seminar is a seven-week program for faculty, staff and administrators at Georgetown University. It includes readings and discussions on: St. Ignatius of Loyola and the Jesuits, Catholic Social Thought, Ignatian pedagogy, Catholic Intellectual Tradition, and contemporary issues in Jesuit/Catholic higher education. The Office of Mission and Ministry offers the Seminar each semester and each cohort typically has 7-9 participants.
Program Goals/Intended Outcomes:
1. Basic knowledge of Jesuit history/heritage, Ignatian spirituality and pedagogy, and the mission of Jesuit, Catholic higher education.
2. Faculty well-versed in language on topics listed above.
3. Shared experience of mission-focused discussions with colleagues.
