""

In-person luncheon and lecture in Cleveland sponsored by the Jesuit Friends and Alumni Network of Cleveland

Featured Speaker:
Eileen Drage O’Reilly, Marquette University ‘90

Eileen’s talk will include her perspective from her life working as a journalist in the U.S. and overseas. She will address the essential role of the press in sustaining democracy, the dangers of having news deserts and misinformation, and the potential implications of artificial intelligence (AI) on the industry.

Eileen will further speak to how Ignatian spirituality and the Jesuit teachings of Cura Personalis (Care for the Whole Person) with its focus on educating one’s full self lead naturally into the curiosity and drive for excellence and truth that journalists need.
