Counseling and Human Services
The University of Scranton Counseling and Human Services (CHS) department welcomes applications for a full-time, 9-month tenure track Assistant Professor position starting in August, 2024. The Counseling and Human Services (CHS) Department is home to two Verified Course Sequence (VCS) graduate programs in Applied Behavior Analysis through the Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABAI). One graduate program leads to a master’s degree in applied Behavior Analysis, and the other leads to an Advanced Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis. The department aims to recruit applicants from diverse backgrounds with a commitment to excellence in teaching, research, service, and dedication to students’ professional development. This position is for a dynamic, enthusiastic Applied Behavior Analysis Educator with primary responsibilities in our online VCS graduate programs. The successful candidate will also have the ability to mentor students through the thesis process. Responsibilities include a 21-credit hour workload, research and publication, all levels of service, and student recruitment/advisement/mentoring. A background in program assessment and evaluation is desirable. Excellence in teaching, pursuit of an active research agenda, and professional, campus, and community service are necessary for promotion and tenure.

Minimum Education Requirements:
Applicants are required to have an earned doctorate in Applied Behavior Analysis or a related field. (Note: ABD with completion by June, 2024 will be considered). Possession of an active BCBA certificate in good standing is required.
Minimum Job Experience Requirements:
Leadership experience and a proven track record of work with ABA including experience working with children, adolescents, families, and/or diverse populations.Â
