Canisius University: Day of service partnering with Project Conservation
College of the Holy Cross: “Purple Goes Green Week”
Creighton University: Earth Month with the theme “Protect our Species,” including a sustainability forum, tree pick-up, campus planting and film screenings
Fordham University: Earth Day Environmental Activism
Georgetown University: Partnership with the Catholic University of America on Environmental Justice Symposium
Gonzaga University: Earth Day Tree Planting
John Carroll University: Annual “Green Streak Week” with local produce picnic, viewing of documentary film, “Free Solo,” plant sale, tree planting on Arbor Day, Jesuit Day of Service, community cleanup with College Democrats at Whipps Ledges
Loyola Chicago University: “EarthMonth” consisting of community service at multiple parks, beaches and gardens; film screening, panel and Tesla ride-along as part of a mini-film festival on Earth Day; DIY green cleaner workshop; midnight bike ride; cleanup of the Chicago river; Spirit of Laudato si’ Sustainability Awards recognizing student excellence in sustainability
Loyola University New Orleans: “Changing Climate, Changing Law” Conference
Marquette University: Installation of 10,000 new bees at campus beehive; Earth Day Mass; “Soup with Substance” talk on “Connecting Faith, Environmental Justice and Sustainability through Education and Service”; movie screening powered by stationary bicycles; city-wide cleanup on Saturday (Marquette’s organized effort is called Hunger Clean-up)
